Benefits of CGMS Membership

All are welcome to attend the monthly meetings of the Columbia Gem and Mineral Society.  In addition to the meetings, the benefits of membership include:

• Subscription to the monthly newsletter, the Rocky Trails. The newsletter contains information about the upcoming meetings, field trips, general CGMS news, and other interesting geology, mineralogy and fossil information. Our Rocky Trails is sent by email so please be sure to give us your email address. 

• Field trips to collect minerals and fossils.  CGMS participates in the field-trip sharing program of the Southeast Federation of Mineralogical Societies.  Field trips are available to CGMS members to locations in the southeastern USA.  CGMS has additional field trips each year specifically for members of the club.

• Participation in lapidary classes, where participants learn how to prepare rocks and minerals for jewelry and the art of jewelry making.

• Other benefits include club picnics and the ability to join the CGMS Executive Committee.

 

To Join or Renew Your Membership:

Membership fees are $31/30 for new/returning families and $26/$25 for new/returning individuals. Please select one of the following options to join CGMS or renew your membership online.  Membership is annual and is good for the calendar year.  Note that for new members joining later in the year, the membership dues are prorated quarterly.

• Pay online by credit card, using one of the buttons below. To keep track of member’s information and interests we ask that you also complete the membership form and mail it or hand it to any club officer at the monthly meeting.
