Our regular meeting is the 3rd Monday of each month. Normally the meetings are held at the McKissick Museum on the campus of the University of South Carolina. During COVID-19 restrictions the meetings are held by Zoom. A notice with Zoom link is emailed to Club Members prior to each meeting.
What We Do
CGMS holds monthly meetings with a speaker or interactive program. Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month. The next Club meeting is on June 21, 2021 at 7 pm and the program is Rockhound Jeopardy.
CGMS has field trips to locations around the Southeast for members to collect minerals and fossils or see geological features.
We have a workshop for learning the lapidary arts and making your own creations. We hold an annual Gem and Mineral show.
