What We Do
CGMS holds monthly meetings with a speaker or interactive program. Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month. Read the Rocky Trails for meeting details.
CGMS has field trips to locations around the Southeast for members to collect minerals and fossils or see geological features.

We have a workshop for learning the lapidary arts and making your own creations. (Workshop currently unavailable.)
We hold an annual Gem and Mineral show.
Workshop
CGMS is looking for a new location for our lapidary workshop. We currently have limited ability to use our equipment. For questions about our capabilities, call or email Gary Hert, gchert@hotmail.com, 803-794-9362.
